Client photo delivery tools
shoots.page vs WeTransfer for sending client photos
shoots.page is a client photo gallery app with a 2 GB free plan and a USD 9 monthly Pro plan where clients view 2000 px previews and download originals with no account.
If you want a WeTransfer alternative for sending photos to clients, we recommend shoots.page. It gives you 2 GB of free storage (or 100 GB for USD 9 a month), keeps gallery links online until you delete them or set an expiry date, and includes 2000 px previews and client proofing. WeTransfer Free caps you at 10 transfers or 3 GB per rolling 30 days, and its links expire in up to 3 days.

shoots.page
We tested shoots.page in October 2026. You sign in with Google, upload a shoot using resumable uploads, and send one unlisted gallery link that stays out of search results (it's set to noindex and left out of the sitemap). Clients open the link on their phone or computer without an account or app, never pay, and see a 480 px thumbnail grid with 60 photos per page and a 2000 px viewer.
The Free plan gives you 2 GB of storage, which holds about 500 photos at 4 MB each, with no limit on the number of galleries or photos. It uses the Classic gallery design and puts a small shoots.page logo and footer link on the page. Every delivery feature is included on Free. Pro costs USD 9 a month or USD 90 a year before applicable tax (EUR 8 a month or EUR 80 a year in Europe, VAT included), bumps storage to 100 GB (50 times the free plan), removes the shoots.page branding, and adds 4 extra gallery designs: Heirloom, Noir, Scrapbook and Postcard. Only uploaded originals count toward your storage cap; previews, thumbnails and the ZIPs clients download don't count.
Both plans take JPEG, PNG, HEIC, TIFF, WebP and RAW files up to 1 GiB and 100 megapixels each. Originals are kept byte for byte, and RAW files are served as full-size JPEGs unless you allow RAW downloads. You get per-gallery switches to let clients download originals, 2000 px JPEGs and RAWs, either as single files or one ZIP. You can also set an optional password (8 to 256 characters) and an expiry date per gallery, email the link straight from the app to up to 200 recipients per gallery, get an email when a client opens or downloads, and check views and downloads per gallery and per photo. For proofing, clients can star favorites against a max-picks count you set, with optional paid extras and up to 200 submissions per gallery. It doesn't offer video, non-photo files, print sales or a print store.
Who it suits: Photographers who want to send finished shoots or proofing sets as a lasting gallery link with 2000 px previews, pick limits and byte-for-byte original downloads, without making clients register.
WeTransfer
We also checked WeTransfer's plans in October 2026. WeTransfer sends any file type, so you can drop in a contract PDF, a video clip or a Lightroom catalog alongside images. You upload in the browser, share a link or send an email transfer, and recipients preview images, video, audio and PDFs or download without an account. WeTransfer says files are delivered without compression, re-encoding or loss of resolution, bundling multiple files into a lossless ZIP, and all plans include password protection.
A lot changed after the Italian company Bending Spoons bought WeTransfer in July 2024. Since November 2024, you need an account to send a transfer (if you don't have one, WeTransfer emails you a code and creates a Free account). On 15 December 2024, WeTransfer put a rolling 30-day cap on the Free plan: 10 transfers or 3 GB in total, whichever you hit first, with a 3 GB per-transfer limit. If you send 2 transfers on the 1st and 8 on the 15th, those slots don't come back until the 1st and 15th of the next month. Free is also restricted to individual, non-commercial use, and email transfers cap at 10 recipients. Starter launched at USD 6.99 a month in December 2024 and now costs USD 10 a month in the US (USD 7 a month billed yearly) for individual use; it raises the data cap to 300 GB per rolling 30 days and 50 email recipients, but keeps the 10-transfer limit.
On both Free and Starter, links expire in up to 3 days and can't be recovered. If a client opens your email on day 4, the transfer is gone and you have to upload everything again. To drop the 3-day expiry and the 10-transfer cap, you have to pay for Ultimate at USD 25 a month (USD 19 a month billed yearly). Ultimate, Teams and Enterprise also let you recover expired transfers if the Recoverable option is on (which it is by default), for up to a year on files under 256 MiB and 90 days on larger files, while files uploaded through a branded WeTransfer page stay up for 30 days. Even then, the client lands on a file list where they can comment on or favorite single files, not a photo gallery with a pick counter (and if 30 parents each want the 5 photos their child is in, that's a lot of scrolling on a phone).
One more thing photographers asked us about: on 1 July 2025, WeTransfer notified users of new terms for 8 August 2025 where Clause 6.3 asked for a perpetual, sub-licensable license to uploaded files, mentioning machine learning models for content moderation. After criticism on social media, WeTransfer took out the machine learning wording in mid-July 2025, narrowed the clause to a royalty-free license to operate, develop and improve the service, and published its Principles of Content Protection stating it doesn't use AI or machine learning on shared content and never sells your files.
Who it suits: Senders who need to move non-photo files like video clips, PDFs or Lightroom catalogs alongside images, or who pay for Ultimate to remove the 3-day link expiry.
FAQ
Is there a free WeTransfer alternative for photographers?
Yes, shoots.page has a free plan with 2 GB of storage and no limit on galleries or photos. It includes every delivery feature, including proofing, passwords and expiry dates, and gallery links stay online until you delete them.
How long do WeTransfer links stay online compared to shoots.page?
