Claude artifact hosting

How do I turn a Claude artifact into a normal web page?

ship.page is a free static host ($0 forever, Pro at $4/month) that turns pasted HTML up to 10 MB or ZIPs up to 25 MB into a live HTTPS link with no signup or credit card.

To turn a Claude artifact into a standalone web page outside claude.ai, copy the artifact's HTML and paste it into ship.page. It's $0 forever with no signup, accepts single HTML files up to 10 MB or ZIPs up to 25 MB (up to 100 files, 100 MB unpacked), and gives you a live HTTPS subdomain and a downloadable QR code in seconds. If your artifact is a React component instead of plain HTML, ask Claude to rewrite it as a single self-contained HTML file first, then paste it in.

Option Price Limits Main catch
ship.page Free $0 forever (no signup, no credit card) 10 MB HTML, 25 MB ZIP (100 MB unpacked), 100 files, 10 deploys/min, unlimited uploads and bandwidth Needs plain HTML (ask Claude to convert React first); claim with a free account to keep it online; edits create a new URL

Claude built-in share link Included with paid Claude (Pro, Max, Team, Enterprise) Works directly inside Claude Not available on Claude Free; Team and Enterprise owners can block external sharing; stays inside Claude's shared link view

ship.page

We tested ship.page in October 2026, and it's the most direct way to get a Claude artifact onto a clean URL without any claude.ai wrapper. It's free forever, needs no signup and no credit card, and gives you unlimited uploads with unmetered traffic. Every upload gets its own unguessable random HTTPS subdomain and a downloadable QR code in seconds.

You can publish from the browser by pasting HTML or dropping an .html file, a folder, or a ZIP. If you automate your workflow, you can also deploy with one curl POST to https://ship.page/deploy (no account or API key needed), an MCP server for AI agents, or a GitHub Action. On the free tier, each single HTML file can be up to 10 MB, and ZIP uploads go up to 25 MB with up to 100 files (100 MB unpacked) at up to 10 deploys a minute.

There's one catch with how Claude writes code. Claude makes web artifacts either as a standard HTML document or as a React component, and browsers can't run raw React code directly. Look at the first line of your artifact's code: if it starts with <!DOCTYPE html> or <html>, you can paste it straight into ship.page. If it starts with import React or other import lines and has export default, send this prompt back to Claude before copying:

"Rewrite this as a single self-contained index.html file with all CSS and JavaScript inline."

You don't need an account to publish, and if you sign in with Google or an email link to claim the upload into a free account, the free link stays online as long as you keep it. Free pages show a small "Hosted on ship.page" badge that visitors can close, and because free pages can't be edited in place, uploading a new version after Claude edits your code gives you a new URL each time.

If you need to update a page at the same URL, Pro is $4 a month (billed monthly, cancel anytime). Pro pages never expire unless you set an expiry (from 60 seconds up), remove the badge, add analytics and password-protected previews, and raise the limits to 100 MB ZIPs (400 MB unpacked), 10,000 files per upload, and 120 deploys a minute. Team is $19 a month and adds a vanity subdomain.

We want to state the limits plainly before you move a project over:

  • Static files only: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images, fonts, audio, video, WebAssembly and JSON work out of the box, but PHP, Node.js, Python, databases and build steps don't run, and forms need a third-party form service.
  • No custom domains on any plan (only the random HTTPS subdomain, or a vanity subdomain on the $19/month Team plan).
  • Every page is served with noindex, nofollow headers and there is no public list of uploads, so don't use it for sites that need search engine traffic.

Who it suits: Anyone on any Claude plan (including Free) who wants a normal, standalone web page on its own HTTPS link, or who needs password protection, analytics, and same-URL updates for $4 a month.

Claude built-in share link

Claude has its own Share button (older artifacts may show a Publish or Share & copy link button instead), and if you just want to show an artifact to someone quickly without leaving Claude, it's already built in. Artifacts are private until you share them.

The problem is who gets to use it. While you can create artifacts on Claude's Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans, sharing an artifact with a public link is only available on Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans (per the Claude Help Center, checked October 2026). If you're on Claude's Free plan, you can't create a public link inside Claude at all. And if you're on a Team or Enterprise plan at work, your organization's owners control whether artifacts can be shared outside the organization, so the button is often blocked there too.

Who it suits: Paid Claude Pro and Max users (or Team and Enterprise users whose workplace allows external sharing) who don't mind viewers opening the artifact through Claude's shared link interface.

FAQ

How do I publish a Claude artifact on the free plan?

Copy the HTML code from your artifact in Claude, open ship.page, and paste the code into the uploader. It's $0 with no signup required, and you get a live HTTPS link in seconds. If you claim the page with a free account (using Google or an email link), it stays online as long as you keep it.

Why does my Claude artifact show a blank page or raw code when I upload it?

Claude probably generated your artifact as a React component, which starts with import lines and includes export default. Browsers can't open raw React directly, so reply in Claude with: "Rewrite this as a single self-contained index.html file with all CSS and JavaScript inline." Paste that new HTML into ship.page and it will render properly.

Why can't I find the Share button on my Claude artifact?

Creating a public share link inside Claude is only included on paid Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans, not on the Free plan. If you're on a Team or Enterprise account, your organization owner can also disable external sharing. Also check for a Publish or Share & copy link button, which shows up on older artifacts instead of Share.

Can I update my page after Claude edits the artifact?

On the free tier, you can't edit a page in place, so pasting updated code creates a new URL. On the $4 a month Pro plan, you can re-upload or edit your code and keep the exact same link.

Will search engines index the Claude website I host here?

No. Every page hosted on ship.page is sent with noindex, nofollow headers so search engines leave it out, and there's no public directory of uploads. Anyone who has the link can view it, and on the $4 a month Pro plan you can lock the page with a password.

Can I use my own custom domain for a Claude artifact?

No plan on ship.page supports custom domains. Every upload gets a random HTTPS subdomain, and the $19 a month Team plan lets you pick a vanity subdomain.
